Ever tossed a stroller?

OK, I just read a mom’s post this morning on a local blog about how she had pulled out her jogging stroller and <<Yikes!>> it was covered in mold and mildew! She was searching for advice on just what to do with it and not surprisingly, the majority of replies that she recieved was to chuck it and buy a new one. OK, if the stroller already had a bent chassis, was scraped to smithereens and also happened to be purchased used for 20 bucks, then, well, OK…

Otherwise, save the Stroller AND the Money!!

Time and time again we recieve mold ridden rides and with some fabu products (and yes, a lot of) elbow grease, we are usually able to rid the fabric of unsightly, and protentially harmful bacteria. But believe me, at one time or another, I have felt the desire to urge the customer to invest in a new ride; “Wouldn’t it be so nice to simply start anew?”. But then I think of the money spent on the stroller in the first place, and the happiness of the customer when we reveal a newly detailed ride; so, I roll up my sleeves, strip off the fabric, and bear down to scrub away the unsightly. It could take 1 hour or 8 hours depending on the severity, but in the end, the pram is 90%-99% better looking and 100% sanitized.

OK, enough of my virtual hot air!! Question: have you ever tossed a stroller because of it’s appearance??

*No chastising from our side. Promise! Laugh

What Double best fits your needs on vacation?

Our Double Maclaren Techno has been a lifesaver on all our trips. My kids are 5 and almost 3, but still often nap after an exhausting day. While on a trip, we do not have to worry about heading back to the hotel for their naps but instead recline both seats on the double maclaren while my husband and I can relax for a couple hours.

What strollers would you like to see added to our fleet?

Would love to see a Double Bob, Single Maclaren and Quinny Zapp. The Quinny Zapp folds so small it can fit in the footwell of the passenger seat of a car, which is a huge plus. Maclarens are compact and convenient for city strolling and BOBs are great for hiking / trail walks.

Also, for families that plan to go biking once in awhile and don’t want to invest in a bike trailer for the long term, would love to see a Chariot bike trailer either for a singleton or double.
